The 25th French Film Festival gets underway soon at Cine Lumiere with a cracking line up of movies.
The Festival kicks off on Thursday 2nd November with François Ozon’s Amant Double described as a ‘filthy and flamboyant thriller’.
This year’s selection of films looks very exciting setting up hot anticipation that this could be a great programme. With biopics on legendary artists including Rodin, Gaugin and Godard and some of the best new dramas and thrillers.
Watch out for Q&A screenings where you will get the chance to put questions to directors and actors.
There will also be screenings of timeless French masterpieces such as the unforgettable Jean de Florette and Manon des sources.
Cine Lumiere is one of our favourite cinemas in London and if you have not been before it is well worth the trip to South Kensington. You can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine from the excellent Le Café Aubaine before settling down in some of the most comfortable cinema seats you could hope for to watch your movie.
The French Film Festival at Cine Lumiere runs from 2 – 9 November 2017
It’s the first weekend of October and I’m down at the Institut francais in Kentish Town for my first French beginner class.
We have chosen a selection of some of our favourite French movies.
